Matt-

I think those will all grow out of that damage.

But, it just goes to show how nasty things can get when frost is involved, even if the temps arent all that cold. I think you bottomed at 35F or so? Thats still 10b! Frost can really do a number.

Larry,

it sure does. If we didn't get that frost pretty much everything would do ok a few cold spots here and there and I bottom right at 36.5 so pretty close to 35 by a 1/2 degree who's counting

at those temps with frost it doesn't really matter.

I'm new to Palm Talk and need some help on how to save my christmas palms. Like many in Florida I had a bad freeze for 2 nights and now my palms are very brown. They new palms in the center of the tree are even brown and very dry. There is even mold built up in the center. Can I save them and if so how? Any help would be great.

fungicide first. I would then put some hydrogen peroxide in the center where the new spear is coming out. Tug on the new spear ( not too hard) if it comes out I would get right on the H2O2. Best of luck, does not sound good but it may pull through.

With a tin cup for a chalice

Fill it up with good red wine,

And I'm-a chewin' on a honeysuckle vine.
