Hot Koala

This would melt the iciest heart…..

It has been so hot in South Australia for over a week…40+ degrees Celsius everyday, very dry also.

These photos were taken in Maude, SA. A little Koala just walked into the back porch looking for a bit of heat relief. They filled up a bucket and this is what happened!

The look on the koala's face is SO CUTE! (I can't help it, all my mothering-instinct buttons got pushed by those photos!) Aw, so cute. Is it true they spit?

THere are a few tourist attractions that let you hold a koala for pictures , for a price ..

Lone Pine Sanctuary close to Brisbane was one ,, might have closed down .

There should be one in the north somewhere .. but they have wicked claws , almost like freddy krueger ,,

how else do they hang on to the trees ??

Michael in palm paradise,

Tully, wet tropics in Australia, over 4 meters of rain every year.

Home of the Golden Gumboot, its over 8m high , our record annual rainfall.

Great pics. I didn't know 'roos could swim either.

Just looking for a little relief from the heat I guess.

Australia is a strange and beautiful land. I must have lived there in a previous life.
