Sunsets

I've enjoyed seeing everyone's sunset photos for a while and decided to add a few of my own. This one I took in August, 2012. It's one of my favorites. Most of our days here seem cloudless so when I see interesting cloud formations and sunsets I love pulling out my phone.

Not as dramatic but I liked the colors in this one too (July 2015).

Still nothing compares to being there and seeing it with your own eyes, amazing things our eyes. Driving home one day  in June, 2015 the sun was setting on a very large bank of clouds and it was like the sky was on fire. Colors were even more vivid than what this photo captured.

The above photo was taken at 8:40pm; and 20 minutes before that when we were leaving our restaurant, we were treated to this scene as the setting sun hit this cloud formation.

The weight of lies will bring you down / And follow you to every town / Cause nothin happens here

That doesn't happen there / So when you run make sure you run / To something and not away from

Cause lies don't need an aero plane / To chase you anywhere

Thursday was an pretty good sunset day in So Cal. We were at a friends house at T-street and everyone was snapping photos. Here is one shot that captures the moment. I got a several palm silhouettes and surfers. Catalina island is out there somewhere! The T-street overpass is on the left, with the SC pier and Dana Point on the right. The T-street reef break is outside the left bunch of palms. I was reminiscing a lot, since I grew up in San Clemente and we would spend every day in the summer at T-street.

Florida has a healthy dose of Sahara dust in its atmosphere right now, which normally makes for better sunrises and sunsets.  And no rain.

Fla. climate center: 100-119 days>85 F
USDA 1990 hardiness zone 9B
Current USDA hardiness zone 10a
4 km inland from Indian River; 27º N (equivalent to Brisbane)

Central Orlando's urban heat island may be warmer than us

We've had some smoke from forest fires that help with the colors.  Up until about 3 weeks ago, there wasn't anything to photograph worth mentioning.

lots of color in the sky last night on the Queensland Sunshine Coast due to a combination of dust and smoke from bushfires burning in the district.
