I saw this outstanding example of a variegated firds nest fern-- just had to share.

The variegation is pretty impressive and what surprises me is that the white portions don't look burned or tattered (which usually happens with white variegated plants-- specially with aspleniums)

I've tried variegated birds nest ferns before but I end up killing them. They do ok for about a year and then they decline and no matter what I do they die a slow death.

THis one is pretty pricey for sure so I didn't even ask. A few tiny seedling of this were available in a plant show about a year ago and the leaves were probably just 2 to 3 inches long -- $200!!!

Nice, never seen a variegated bird's nest fern.

On a related note, here is a variegated birds nest anthurium growing in the Climatron at Missouri Botanic Garden in St. Louis;
