For a "slow" growing Dypsis, this currently seems happy! Heres the spear in less than 3 months?

Nice Bill, I see it is finally growing out of the greenhouse stretch by the looks of the last leaf and the new spear hopefully means it is on it's way. Now a little roundup would finish it off nice.

I just have to update a bit here. For what is supposed to be a "slow" palm? This thing is freightin it. I just measured yesterday and that spear is at 5 feet long and the "new spear line" is visible too. I hope this keeps going well!!

WOW, look at this sucker! (knock on wood) Heres what I have with just under 4 months from post#36! That spear is well over 5 feet long, thats over a foot a month. Maybe this isn't a slow Dypsis!

Another update here. 3rd frond since planting. thats just over a frond a year, it would be faster if we had a normal summer I think.
