To continue with pix of the Broward garden here is a nice representation of Echmans hard work.

Any one recognise the garden yet?

I don't see any TREEs in sight, So since there is not a TREE in sight, that MUST be where you were! (going for pronunciation here)

Oh yes, Post #160 is Dypsis malcolmberi.

post #160 is either Moasoala madagascarensis, or a Ravenea. I think.

I can not believe you guys are still going with this thread!

Damn, I wish I still worked for myself. I wouldn't have missed that day for anything. But then that's why I don't still work for myself! I enjoyed my retirement in my 40's.

I think this thread should hold the record for fastest rise and fall in the history of Palmtalk...

Bill, maybe we can work on a big PRA and invite everyone and see if a thread of that size goes up and down even faster?

Hey Tri! You're famous now!

By the way, if I accidentally touched that palm in the pot all the way to left in picture number 3 in post 212, I'm sorry. You should have hosed it down right after I left. ^_^

This is really an insane thread. Unless I missed something, whose garden is this and where is it?

What the heck is a PRA??????

Nevertheless it is a very beautiful garden and very inspiring.

Bill, I was getting kind of nostalgic about our fun and reviewed this Post.Specifically,my attention was drawn to Post 144.You obviously have a fan with more than passing interest, who knows more than a little bit about you.She sounds quite cute, intelligent and fun.She also keenly observes that"character" vibe that I got immediately in meeting you.

Bill,I reviewed our Post that you guys handled so adroitly and picked up something I had missed.Specifically, what is clearly an attractive young lady(my guess) in Post 144 has some very nice observations to make about you. What got my attention more than anything about her Post was her statement regarding your character!Although consistent with your Posts, meeting you in person gave me that "high character" vibe that is rare but makes you feel good when you meet someone who really gives it off. This is not fluff and something you should be very proud of.Bubbalouie

Dear Friends :)

iam speachless and stunned by the beauty of that garden, the location is simply terrefic as seen in some hollywood movies ! And the palms & plants that make-up the landscaping is simply fabulous.i love & get attracted to gardens like this...since it looks very neat and tidy.i suppose even with out those ants, the garden does appeal to me very much...maybe its due to the CIDP's line-up ! :)

And as few have pointed out about the new PRA team and that team should go out like this often...is what was even in my mind while seeing those beautiful stills...

and special thanks for those who have uploaded the stills in hi-res mode !

And dear ken thanks for that still of CIDP...that's what i want here in our garden in chennai...

lots of love to you all,

Kris :)

Back to the palms can you figure out these two palms?

No one has identified the interesting distinction between these two side by side Palms. It is a Major and suprising distinction.Any folks out there with real Palm knowledge? It is Post 114 in the Thread.

Is one a Gassia Princeps? and the other a Hyophorbe?

Didn't know it, Just saw a big one at Jeff Searles garden. I think a priceps looks a bottle on the bottom and a puesdophoenix (sp) on the top?
