Adelaide Botanical Gardens

Dang Daryl!

Those pictures rock!

More more more.

Never really even thought of Adelaide, which I'm sure pisses Addies off . . . .

It's funny really, Adelaide gets least coverage in dispatches than any other major city/town in Australia by fellow Australians. These palms Daryl has kindly shown us are way better than what I saw in Melbourne BG.

I quite agree except the fern gully has the proof that it is possible to have a Queensland style Archontophoenix rainforest style garden in Melbourne. Other than that, many of the specimens at the Melbourne Botanical gardens are old and there has not been a great deal of new species planting in many years. Having said that, the gardens are pretty much chokka.

Yippee, the drought is over.

Thanks again for the presentation!

Now that's a place that must be seriousely taken in consideration by jordanian specialists, now, when the Jordan Royal Botanic Gardens are planned because of the climate similarities (dry mediterranean), not to mention Adelaide BoGa's vast experience.

Chokka = chocca = choc-a-block = chokkablock = choccablock = full as

Basically, if you can't fit in any more, it is chokka!

Could also be spelt "CHOCKERS". Jackson's Jungle is chockers with palms at the moment but still more could be planted.

Happy Gardening

Cheers,

Wal
