That Pinanga celebica looks like an outstanding palm! Just a bit more protection and it would be amazing looking.

Dear Paul :)

the stills of your tour is stunning..as to how far hindu culture has been propogated in ancient times...!And each stills is a beauty in its own right.i am tempted to use your stills for my birthday greetings threads as background postcards...so beautiful it is ! And the Art portrait seen in one of the stills, did you buy any for your home...since the big one seen with a beautiful queen with her attenders in it..is a nice collectable item for once drawing room... :)

Paul, I've got throbbing temples after viewing your thread. Did you see any little black motorbikes at all? That's coconut trunk in post 123. Have you seen the stuff they use for cement in Bali it seems to stick real well?

John in Andalucia

Jon,

That is an unfortunate name for us English speakers. In Spanish, cement is "cemento" and the paint is available in only one colour..

Paul,

Great shots. I've always wanted to go Bali. As a kid, I watched the movie, "Road to Bali" with Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour, and got the idea then, that it was paradise.

   Top stuff John. My favorite color. Bali is full of weird English and bad spelling not to mention the stone carvings.

Hey Paul, What specie of fern is that?

i noticed their spelling of "cement" this trip, too, but thought i would get "'moderated" if i brought it up.but i have a knack for getting into trouble.

i've seen the ferns in the forest & they look like the usual species--australian tree fern.

Paul, I am still waiting for pics of the loot from last year. So saying that you will post pics of this years loot by next year, is sounding like, ah, presidential promises. Just tell us "you'll see it when you see it!" :D
