Man those are nice!

Riffle rated these palms as zone 10-11, but I'm just not seeing them grown here in SoCal. Do they need more humidity than we typically get?

I would guess one of those desertish Cali days of 5% humidity coupled with some good winds speeds could serve to dry out the leaves... But I know of a couple specimen being grown indoors and they look great! Humidity indoors is usually pretty low as well... So maybe so anti-dessicant sprayed on the leaves of this beauty would help them look better in super low humidity areas? I'm certain someone in San Francisco will be growing them soon. :winkie: I'm sure they could be grown well in SoCal with a little loving attention...

I'm seeing some orders trickling in on these... Thought I'd post a photo of a palm that was barerooted so you'd know what you are ordering...

Healthy healthy HEALTHY!

Bill,

Just received my two palms. They look great and are already sitting in a sunny window.

Thanks

Bill-

I joined today and am doing the standard search stuff.

I have some property on Nevis, so these look like they would be great. Obviously too big for me to sneak through the airport. Do you think you'll have anything quite small around the November timeframe ... that's when my next flight is.

You can ship to my Delaware address and I'll go from there.

Anyone growing these outside in So-Cal? I would like one but I do not want to kill it.
