After a very wet August, September is start very good, it's dry and a lot of sun and high tempetures for the time of the year. Tomorrow the expect for local places in the south of the netherlands 30C/86F.

Yesterday it have made some photo's ...

Al the brugmansia's are coming to flower again, this one was the first one. An the back trachycarpus :)

i felt right at home looking at these pics.one sees alot of the same plants in socal!

yes,but you have chosen a lot of plants that are quite common around here & managed to grow them in a less favorable climate.kudos to you!

Thanx, I have been never in So cal so i don't know but i believe you :D

I can plant more and more exotics, the winters are not to strong here of this part of the netherlands :)

Alt:1030m. Native palms: Queen, B. eriospatha, B. microspadix, Allagoptera leucocalyx , A.campestris, Geonoma schottiana, Trithrinax acanthocoma. Subtr. climate, some frosty nights. No dry season. August: driest month. Rain:1700mm

 

I am seeking for cold hardy palms!
