Here are some pictures of flowers that I took along the way. Some will be familiar and others might be new to you.

If I remember correctly, these plants formed a hedge for about 15 feet (how many meters is that Jack?).

And I think this is my last one. The cute little bromeliads were everywhere during the horseback riding, but my horse was cooperating with my picture taking. This is the best one I got.

This whole post is excellent but I agree with Matt on Angela's shot! That is called Queen's Wrath vine. I admired it in person too. Love love love it!

Kim

The photos are stunning. You captured the details nicely even in the low light. Everyone who attended must have had professional cameras as all the photos are awesome. What kind of camera do you have (same question for Angela)?

Thanks for posting. Wish I could have gone.

I have a cheapo Pentax istD. Having a nice camera helps... I felt I was at a big disadvantage compared to most people at the biennial... lots of folks had very nice equipment with nice lenses... first thing I'm gonna get when I have some extra cash is a nice lens!!!! :yay:

This was interesting... the flower was from the trunk of a shrub... not the vine.

At the restaurant where we stopped for lunch on the way to WBG,

our guide Daniel showed us what would happen to a Brunfelsia flower

when touched by a lighted cigarette.

At the WBG, we saw this ginger labeled Nicolaia rubra from Malaysia.
