Nong Nooch Tropical Garden...

This is my first trip to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden where I bet many people here visited this garden more often than myself. This garden is about 150 km from Bangkok in the east (Near Pattaya) and it took me about 1.5 hr driving there.

I could only spend half a day there due to the heat. It's middle of summer now in Thailand and the temperature easily rises to 40'c during mid day which causes me exhausted faster but I still had a chance to take many photos there, mostly palms and cycads. So here you are!

The first pic is the famouse blue entrance to the garden.

After that, I lost myself into the palm heaven. There're so many palms everywhere. I spent at least half an hour walking in circle in a small area because there're so many of them and they're different species... Can you see the red?

Great palm pics Chalermchart.

Nong nooch is also on my list of 'must visit' when I can next travel.

It is said that this is arguably the best tropical garden for palms.

More please

Fantastic pictures Chalermchart, I really must visit. There are a few that you were unsure of the ID. I was just wondering if this is because many of the plants are not labelled or you didn't make a note at the time. I only ask, because if the plants are not labelled, I wouldn't have a clue what any of them are.

Corey,

In fact, most of the plants I took the photos are not labelled. Only a few, such as Borassus, Lodoicea, L. parviflora are labelled. Because of this, I might miss many plants in the garden that I should pay attention to, just because i don't know the names.. Some of my guesses above might be wrong and i would be appreciated if anyone could help me correct it.
