Hello all. I have some D lanceolata seeds that should be ripening up soon. These pictures are from the beginning of January. As you can see the seeds are still green and not ripe yet. When they are ripe, you are more than welcome to them. The only catch is that the tree is in Leilani Estates, Hawaii and I am not. So this is an offer for the local folks over there. Just send me a PM if you are interested and I will give you directions. Thanks.

I don't know if anyone living in a hotter country is interested in getting this Licuala Ramsayi and Licuala Peltata var. Sumawongii for free except you'd have to pay for shipping. As you can see here, the have not been doing well lately, and the only thing I think might help is planting them in the ground. Otherwise I'll have to throw them out..

Archontophoenix cunninghamiana Seedlings

I have a fairly large number of Archontophoenix cunninghamiana seedlings I would like to offer free in lots of up to five. Redant (Doug) was generous enough to give me an amazing tour of his garden last month and while there gave me many free palms. I would like to pass along a bit of his generosity starting with these 40 palms. The total I am offering is 40 for now as I want to make sure the rest are rooted and are healthy and growing before I plant or distribute them to fellow enthusiasts. I am not sure of the parent plants' origins or if they are a known variety of A. cunninghamiana or for that matter if these traits would be passed on to seedlings arising…

11 2 ish gal Livistona Chinensis (Chinese Fan Palm)
by chad2468emr- 7 replies

Hey there, Today I bought “one” 3 gal Livistona Chinensis from HD and they managed to find a way to cram 14 into a single pot which... well that’s something else. I gently separated them all and I have to say for the most part there was minimal root loss, but since I can’t promise anyone these are in the best of shape, I’d like to offer them for free. I kept my three fav out of the bunch and they are now potted individually. I just can’t bring myself to toss the rest of them since they are really healthy looking little fellas and if someone with the space and the patience was looking to line a long driveway with them or something, they would look really nice in…

I have several more of these than I anticipated on having, and more than my needs. Seeds sown from pure strain, hand pollinated by Jeff St Gelias of the PNW Palm Society In British Columbia. I am looking for anybody who would like to give this palm a try, yours for the price of shipping. I do not have certs so it needs to be USA only, sorry. Can send bare root to save on shipping or in the current pots. The locusts like to feed on these, so watch out for that. PM if interested. The access will likely be guerilla planted.

Free seeds of reclinata x dactylifera
by Phoenikakias- 1 reply
I have another batch from this cross, actually a neighbouring inflorescence to the one, I had on purpose cross-pollinated, received apparently also dactylifera pollen. I made the mistake however to let the derived infructescence for to long hanging, which enabled an attack of seed borers. So fruits/seeds are not tradable but after disinfection I suppose that in a sutisfying number of seeds embryo has been saved and those seeds have good prospects to germinate. Only a small gesture from me to mitigate the sorrow of european growers because of expected or confirmed winter losses. Europe only for financial and phytosanitary reasons. Send me a PM with your address.

Chamaerops humilis - 2 HUGE plants
by Josue Diaz- 5 replies

My friend is remodeling his garden and despite my begging to keep the palms, he's pretty set on removing them. He'll be replacing everything with boxwood and frilly annuals . He's already removed a Philodendron selloum with about 5 feet of trunk which i was able to salvage. So without much ado, these are FREE to anyone who'd be willing to come to Fresno to dig and take them away. They'll end up getting chain-sawed if there are no takers

Extra Germinated Seeds (Sabal sp. 'Praha')
by GoatLockerGuns- 8 replies

I have a plethera of extra germinated Sabal sp. 'Praha' seeds to give away. I had near 100% germination from the seeds I collected at the Praha, Texas site back in late February. If you are not familiar with the ongoing Sabal sp. 'Praha' discussion, see the Palmtalk thread below: The extra germinated seeds I have are from the palm I labeled Sabal sp. 'Praha' #5 in the aforementioned post. It is the palm currently thought to be the oldest at the Praha site by most who visit there (the rest are probably volunteers). Reports of these palms in the Praha area go back to the 19th century. In a nutshell, there is some mystery regarding what species of Sabal these palm…

A friend has grown his Pachypodium for 13 years and this is the first time it has produced seed pods. Knowing I am in touch with lots of plant enthusiasts, he wanted me to offer the seeds for free to any takers. Easiest to provide to US residents who will pay shipping. There are possibly 200 - 300 seeds. I have never grown the plant and know nothing about germination. The grower thought it was a palm, but now he knows better. Any takers?

Hey guys, I have eight Sabal Palmetto Seedlings which I got from eBay in April for $84. They are in ground but since they are very small and it rained heavily these days I can easily dig them out. The reason why I want to give them away is that I don't have space for them anymore. So, if you are in the Houston area just reply to this email and those seedlings will be yours. Of course that I will give them away for free but please hurry because I need to give them away soon.
