Air pots, no shipping
by Darold Petty- 5 replies

These were highly recommended, and are used by Kew Gardens. The only complaint is that the pot medium will dry out more quickly than a normal pot. I have five #5 and two #12 airpots, which cost me $140. No shipping, you must take delivery at my home, and a ' handling fee' of a microbrew dark ale or hazy IPA would be appreciated ! https://air-pot.com/garden/

I have an Ecxess of Archontophoenix Alexandre Beatrice Seedlings. I got about 100 seeds about 3-4 months ago, and they have grown into 4-5" seedlings so fast. Wondered if any interest in a bumper crop of seeds from this big mama? It has survived for 20 years without protection and has been flowering fruiting for a decade atleast. I usually throw out the seeds but wondered if I had been wasting a coveted commodity? Let me know- it is a beauty, but slow growing.

Approx 2,000 Wisteria seeds - two colors.

Seeds are between 1-3 years old. No guarantee on viability, since each of us has our own growing methods. None are from this past fall. When collected, some were still cold and when brought inside, the skins split on some of them - no idea of those ones will grow, but just a disclaimer that some of them have this condition. (Not many.) A little over 1,000 purple/lavender seeds (roughly) 900 - 1000 ? Pink seeds (selfed, so high percentage of pinks should ensue.) I prefer to just let them all go at once - but may split it up. If approx 5-10 people ask me for smaller numbers, before somebody asks for the whole lot, then I will consider it. The purples were …

Archontophoenix cunninghamiana Seedlings

I have a fairly large number of Archontophoenix cunninghamiana seedlings I would like to offer free in lots of up to five. Redant (Doug) was generous enough to give me an amazing tour of his garden last month and while there gave me many free palms. I would like to pass along a bit of his generosity starting with these 40 palms. The total I am offering is 40 for now as I want to make sure the rest are rooted and are healthy and growing before I plant or distribute them to fellow enthusiasts. I am not sure of the parent plants' origins or if they are a known variety of A. cunninghamiana or for that matter if these traits would be passed on to seedlings arising…

Archontophoenix sp. seeds

Hi all, I have a limited number of seeds from a palm in my yard. It was purchased years ago at a big box store as “tropical foliage”. I assumed it was cunninghamiana, but it developed some whitish coloring under the leaves. Bottom line is that it is the most attractive palm year in, year out in the garden, regardless of time of year. Robust trunk and large open canopy. A beautiful palm, if the seed remains true to the parent. Local pickup preferred.

I have a few spare Arenga engleri seeds from freshly harvested fruits. In contrast to the common belief plants from those seeds seem to grow fairly fast (in my not tropical climate in cold frame). I gladly give them for free but I would not reject an exchange (not a prerequisite though)! Below you see pics from plants from those seeds 1 and 1/2 years old.

Bambusa textilis Kanapaha

I've gotta thin out my boo. These things will eat up some real estate... Up fer grabs is a 25gal-ish Bambusa textilis Kanapaha (Royal Bamboo, Wong Chuk Bamboo). It's too wide to go into a 15gal unless divided... These were bought from the TampaBay area bamboo guru, Mr. Roy Rogers. This thing was a single caned, one gallon when I planted it. I bought five of 'em, so you can imagine where I'm at with these... Very tight, erect culms. She's right around twenty feet tall right now. ~Ray.
