This is a repost of information I originally included on a for sale thread earlier in February. I purchased 3 Sabal minors from @teddytn last week. He added a bonus Sabal louisiana for no extra charge (thank you). I am very pleased. Ordering and communication was good. The price of the palms and shipping was excellent (better)--make sure to include @teddytn in your sabal shopping because of it (PM me if more info desired). The size, maturity, roots, and condition of the sabals were superior, especially for the price. The sabals arrived in good condition despite the winter weather. Here are the pics: Arrival packaging and condition …

Dear all, I would bet that nearly anyone here is informed on my passion for the Acanthophonix. Well, I am looking for good sources permanently and have found a further friend in La Réunion, the home of all 3 Acantho species. Alain is perfect, very kind, very professional and ships the seedlings (some of them are more than that) in a way I never have seen before - but it works better than the typical watered and closed root-system. A new charge of A. rousselii (sp. tripaludis) is on it´s way to Germany and I will get a larger Acantho of about 1m - so great. Absolute recommendation for Alain, great source for very healthy Acanthos. Now the details as usual: …

It's got a high customer satisfaction rating. Amazon UK apparently partners with him when you order. He offers a lot of species of palms and tropicals. Could be a viable (pun intended) alternative to RPS?😉

I've been buying palms from Bluebell Nursery for a while now and I thought this is a good time to let out my secret...Some of the SoCal members know about Bluebell but many don't...Its been around for many years but is not mentioned much...Sorta like a secret spot...The selection of rare palms is limited, but what they do offer is large and cheap... Bluebell Nursery Is owned and operated by long time members of the PSSC and have very well grown palms...If you are in the market for a Rhopalostylis baueri, Rhopalostylis sapida or Dypsis baronii you must visit them to compare size and price...I'm confident you will get a larger plant for less money from Bluebell...They al…

Bluebell Nursery (Jack and Arlene Passarello)

I love this place. Arlene and Jack are so nice and gracious and is a secret palm source for many seasoned palm growers. They grow everything from seed and the prices are phenomenal. Arlene is now taking hold of most of the business now that I fear Jack is in failing health. Come support a couple that has been so integral to the palm community. 20 gallon Dypsis Decipiens grown for over 10 years just $100 20 gallon Rhopies (grown for over 10 years) for just $100 Many other palm species as well such as Caryota Gigas, Roystenias, Chambeyronias, Kings and Howeas. You can beat the prices and knowing you a supporting a couple that have been such a great part …

I have bought several seeds from this site and they all were immature or just bad seeds. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but after several purchases I gave up. They will not get any more of my money. I wrote to them to tell them what was going on and I did not ask for more seeds I just wanted them to know about the seeds in case it was a mistake but they have never replied to my email.

Brantley Palms

Bryant Brantley has some great deals on fields of Butia odorata palms. He has started venturing into other cold hardy palms as well. He gave me a great deal on a nice field dug trunking Trachyocarpus fortunei and threw in some extra potted palms as well. He was a genuinely nice guy who was a pleasure to do businesswith. He hand dug, wrapped, and tractor loaded my palm with a lot of expertise. ..almost no roots were cut in the process. He is located in Perry Florida on some nice farmland.

Caribbean Palms Nursery - Mike Harris
by rozpalm- 20 replies

Caribbean Palms Nursery is a small nursery located in Loxahatchee, Florida and is owned and operated by Mike Harris. If you are into rare palms from the Caribbean this is a great place. This nursery is a gem and has lots of rare palms that Mike himself travelled to collect the seed. I have bought quite a few palms from Mike and will be returning this week to add a few more to my collection. I have always found Mike to be an easy person to deal with and more then willing to provide growing knowledge for the palms you are buying. If you are in Loxahatchee, make sure to schedule a visit to Caribbean palms.

Chad Ross / SabalFreak352 / CoconutGambler352 - SCAMMER
by The Silent Seed- 4 replies

I am sorry that it has come to this, but it has. I paid Chad Ross $45 for some Sabal seeds on August 26. (This is after him telling me he was having paypal and venmo problems, which should have been the first red flag.) Since then, it has been excuse after excuse, and a complete lack of communication in-between. I have not gotten anything from him. Also being fairly new to Venmo, I wasn't aware that my payment was not protected - thankfully it was not a larger purchase, but this needs to be known that this individual (a member here,) is a scammer. I did report it to Venmo, and to the support department here (which never responded, by the way.) Chad…

This guy contacted me via private messages and said he has some seeds for sale that I need. I have previously asked for nikau and bangalow seeds on the forum here in the category /wanted seeds for sale. He asked me to transfer 70 dollars for the seeds, which I have already done in November! Then he has said that he will send me seeds, or will refund money if he will be unable to send them because, as he said, he is struggling with a number of problems in his life now, and is unsure when he can send seeds . I said ok, you can just refund me the full amount if you will be not able to send seeds to me. for 1.5 months I have not received any response from him, he has l…

I purchased seeds from CollectorsPalms over a month ago. The last I heard from him he verified payment and said I would receive the seeds in about a week- that would have been a month ago. He has not responded to multiple messages even though I can see he has logged in several times in the past month. If you choose to go through this 'seller' please use a payment method that can be refunded. I hope I can update this positively in the future, but I have doubts. Buyer Beware.
