Looking to trade or sell this large Pandanus furcatus, one of the more cold hardy pandans Its 8-9ft overall in the pot (about 6-7ft tall in the ground). It has been trimmed to fit in the greenhouse and to prevent injury during transport. I live near both I-75 and HWY301 in Gainesville. Should be hardy into the mid 20Fs, especially if protected from heavy frost. It has seen 25F (only slight frost) with minor damage. Looking specifically for Pritchardia thurstonii, any butia x cocosoid hybrids, cold hardy citrus (especially limequats), or most coccothrinax spps.

Ari from Darwin AU sent me some seed this spring off two of her trees. I am running out of room in my greenhouse. I have given many away but still have more. These are what I have for free: Jacaranda caucana - no one knows if this will grow here. Worth a shot. 8 left. Bauhinia acuminata - This one will grow here and is actually not an easy plant to find in SoCal. I should be selling these. 5 left. These are free but you must pick up. All are in 1 gallons.

If anyone is interested in these I would like to trade for cold hardy Cycad plants or seed..... or other smaller companion plants/seed such as Aroids, Banana's, Gingers ect......basically anything tropical and 9a hardy that I currently don't have. Thanks. I actually waited too late to take a good picture of this particular plant as the variegation has started to brown. This is one of at least three Tiger's....I believe they are all female. I know at least some of the seeds come true as they already exhibit this form sprouting around the base from seeds that have dropped. I will t…

seed swap
by palms2plant- 0 replies
- 2.6k views
Mainland US. I have a few seed types I can ususally gather some of anytime in my Southern Cal area . In particular those of you in Florida might be able to get a few on my seed wish list like Dictyosperma album (hurricane plam) or Lantania verschaffeltii (yellow latin palm). I am proposing we swap some seed. The main thing is the seeds need to be ripe and not from the ground to reduce any chance of sending a bug and ensure freshness. They also need to have the fruit removed. If interested Pm me. Sorry if you are outside the US mainland but the law requires an import license. Local seeds often available Archontophoenix cunninghamiana (king) Brahea edulis Chamaed…
