You must be an IPS Member and designated as such on PalmTalk to list items (start topics) here. If you are an IPS Member, you must request this designation. It is not automatic. Contact the Moderator.
IPS Members may not list items for sale from non-member third parties. When discussing new acquisitions, deals, or availability of palms/plants, please refrain from mentioning the names of Big Box stores, nurseries, or other outlets that are not IPS Members. Third parties will be permitted to mention the source, price, or availability of plants, seeds, or garden related products in the course of normal Forum discussions if directly acquired from or offered by IPS Members only. Promotional intent or language by third parties should be avoided.
All palms/plants/seeds offered for sale must include a price and size/quantity. Photos are encouraged. For larger venues or sales, such as nurseries, a link to a price list or a promise of listed prices "at the door" are required. Listings will be removed 60 days after the original posting unless otherwise requested.
The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms.

I have 3 Pholidocarpus kingianus seedlings for sale. These are about a year old, with one leaf, but a large root system in a tall 2-3 gallon pot. They root much like Borassus (very remotely), so I would wait until they are rooted out to plant. These are beautiful palmate palms that are rarely available. I can deliver these between Tampa and Miami for a nominal fee. These were grown from seed in Florida, not imported seedlings, so there is no transplant shock. I have 11 palms that were dug and wraped in plastic then put on drippers a year ago. They are 10-15 feet tall with fat trunks. You will rarely see Sabal this size dug and hardened off. These were priced at $65/ft then $35/ft. The price now is $20/ft!

This Chamaerops was carefully dug and boxed in June of 2009. It is very healthy with multiple suckers, mid-green foliage, and long petioles. This form is sometimes called 'green mound'. FREE CA grown Foxtail seeds

A nearby foxtail palm has dropped about ten large orange seeds. The shape and color on most of them seem to indicate that they are mature enough to germinate if you want to take a chance. The fact that they are California grown may or may not mean that they will produce palms that are more adaptable to the climate here. Although my Florida grown Foxtail is doing well here.
