Chamadorea rad seeds mailed today
by DoomsDave- 8 replies
Hello everyone: I mailed out the Cham. radicalis seeds to all 23 of you who requested them (by my count). I'll send each of you a PM, as well as this notice. If you DON'T get a PM, that probably means I missed you, which is okay, because I've got some seeds left. There's three people outside the U.S., (including Canada) and 20 of you in the U.S., with about half in Florida, for what that's worth. I'd appreciate knowing how well the seeds sprout, and what they turn out to be, tree type, bush type or a mixture of both. It took longer than it should have, and I'm sorry about that. I didn't charge anyone anything for postage. . . . dave

by Palmzilla- 1 reply
- 1.2k views
Rhopalostylis consists of two species, Sapida and baueri. Baueri is from Norfolk Island and the Kermadec Islands. The latter population used to be known as Rhopalostylis cheesemanii. Sapida is from the North and South of New Zealand and the Chatham Islands to the South. Chatham island trees are considered a variant in the species and at 44 degrees, they are the furthest south of all palms. Rhopalostylis are a nice palm for cool coastal areas. Seed is round, 2 cm in diameter, and red when ripe. I have freshly potted 1g "Chatham Island's" for $5 each. They have 1-2 leaves. I also have seed to for sale. 50 seed for $25, 100 seed for $40, picked 2 days ago He…
