Hi Group, We just got in some very cool and large Dypsis deciepiens. They are in 25g and about ten to twelve years old. They have never been in the greenhouse; outdoor grown. These are the type of decipiens with the new red colored spear and the white crown shaft like you've seen at Mardy Darian's place. Basal caliper is five to six inches. They are heavy so I cannot easily mail order them, but could arrange a trucker. Also important, they are locally grown in the San Diego area so they should prove to be excellent for anyone's garden around here. I only have six or seven of these for sale. They are $450 each. I don't think they will last too long. Drop b…

Copernicia alba

3 gallon tall pot, $5 The in ground picture is of my C. alba from the same seed batch (the middle of the three fan palms), just planted out earlier. They are nice plants and can take those difficult locations. For example, mine is planted on the north side of a car port. It gets no sun the entire Winter, and full sun the entire Summer, and it still looks great.

1 gallon Dypsis lutescens, $5 each. These are way underpotted. They are ready for partial day sun because I have them under 30% shade cloth at the top of my shade house getting really bright light, as you can see they are not stretched at all.

Rhapis exselsa

Paul was nice enough to give me this Rhapis that he dug up from his yard, but I just don't have a spot for it and don't want to mess with getting it to indoor quality. I think it was seeing some afternoon sun, as you can see by some slight sun burn, so it's hardened off really nice and will work well in a variety of spots. If anyone wants it for a good deal, it's $10. It's in a 7 gallon pot, when he dug it, it basically had a solid 5 gallon root ball in the shape of a pot so there was no root/culm damage to speak of. I'm sure it'll continue to grow fine with little to no shock. Yes, Paul I'll give you the money, relax, ease up on the emoticon! -Matt (619) 206-77…

Have a client that wants this palm removed. Before we chainsaw it, does anyone want it? The palm is in Trabuco Canyon here in southern CA. Its in the backyard near the house, but you should be able to dig a pretty good trench around it to remove it.

Zamia variegate hybrids for sale - cheap For sale: Zamia variegata hybrids for sale. Plants were grown from seed obtained as Zamia variegata, but likely open pollinated, hence the "hybrid" designation. Many of the plants are mature and coning, pot sizes range from 3 gal, 7 gal, and 15 gal. Degrees of variegation on the leaflets due to this variability of the suspected hybridization. These are fantastic landscape plants, relatively stiff, large, upright leaves. These are vigorous growers and plants will do great in full sun or shade. Prices depending on caudex size; >6" caudex (mature plants) = $50, 4"-6" caudex = $35, <4" caudex = $20. Please see link for…

Pony Tail Palms! (Beaucarnea recurvata)
by Palmzilla- 0 replies
- 1.1k views
I've got a nice selection of big 24'' box Pony Tail Palms (Beaucarnea recurvata) which I've been growing for some time. A lot of them are busting the boxes! Most have multiple heads, some are still tall singles. They make beautiful flower stalks too! They average 6-9 feet tall. They make nice center pieces in the garden which attract a lot of attention. These are another wild looking prehistoric plant which are very easy to care for. Very little water is required, they can take cold weather or intense heat, full-sun or shade to look top-notch! I also have several other species of Beaucarneas too, ones worth mentioning are variegated guatalmalensis and blue gracilis! 24…
