IPS Members may not list items for sale from non-member third parties. When discussing new acquisitions, deals, or availability of palms/plants, please refrain from mentioning the names of Big Box stores, nurseries, or other outlets that are not IPS Members. Third parties will be permitted to mention the source, price, or availability of plants, seeds, or garden related products in the course of normal Forum discussions if directly acquired from or offered by IPS Members only. Promotional intent or language by third parties should be avoided.
All palms/plants/seeds offered for sale must include a price and size/quantity. Photos are encouraged. For larger venues or sales, such as nurseries, a link to a price list or a promise of listed prices "at the door" are required. Listings will be removed 60 days after the original posting unless otherwise requested.
The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms.

I lost almost all of my formerly Dypsis pembanas to Hurricane Ian but their memories live on in the form of seedlings germinating all over our yard. They can't stay, of course, but before I send them all to the compost heap, I want to give anyone interested a chance to save them and give them a home. This palm is almost a marvel of speed and beauty and hardiness. Mine survived temps from 29F to 100F without burning and scarcely any spotting. I have fresh and cleaned Sabal minor ‘Louisiana’ seed available. They were collected in East Baton Rouge Parrish from the campus of Louisiana State University. Sabal Louisiana is very similar to Sabal minor but with much larger leaves and faster growth up to 10 feet. Unlike Sabal minor it also forms a short fat trunk up to 6 feet when it matures. This is a highly unusual Cyrtostachys renda plant, sourced from my 2017 bulk order from a Thai seed company(near Chiang Rai, but disappearing during Covid). It was one of a highly successful (66%) germination group. I selected it because it was a very aggressive grower; other seedlings were 1 1/2" tall, this one double that size. Shortly thereafter, while the general crop was growing their first leaves, this one was sending out shoots, all quickly following with leaves. Then the main stalk of a 7" seedling send out a 2" frond with seeds! The seeds remained small and eventually this main stalk and the seeds dried and dropped, DOA.
