Anyone have On Demand Directv?
by Ken Johnson- 0 replies
If you don't know what it is I'll tell you. Thousands of hours of old movies and TV shows for free if you have Directv service. The question is do you store the stuff you download on your computer or on an external hard drive hooked to your DVR? I will hook it up for Xmas and want to trouble shoot it first. Anyone have any ideas?

Wow! I found another great treat from a company in Australia. It is a sugar plum and walnut log from Pastilla Nash. Great with brie and apples or gorgonzola. You Aussies are keeping a lot of secrets from us!

QUOTE: "The European Union's huge digital library Europeana, which crashed last month just hours after its launch, is back online. The website's server capacity has been quadrupled to cope with demand, European Commission spokesman Martin Selmayr told reporters. But the homepage - at www.europeana.eu - warns that "the user experience may not be optimal in this test phase". The site gives multilingual access to cultural collections across the EU. The site was swamped by users on its launch on 20 November, with a volume of 10 million hits an hour, triggering a crash. Europeana brings together more than two million books, maps, recordings, photographs, arch…

Adele --> "Rolling in the deep"

Hi, folkz - as the toppic suggest, the mentioned song is my ULTIMATE favorite one at the moment. Well, as an active, formerly material arts sportswoman (Nin-Jutsu) I especially liked the scenes with the dancing Ninja woman. I had the idea to cut thos scenes and merge it into one, short video stream. Cutting and producing private videos is one of my hobbies. Look - I hope, you like it, too. The dancing Ninja Right klick - save target as ... would recommend the Video-Lan Player (VLC).

Dear Lee, From the coconut groves on the indian ocean srilankan coast (at 09.00 am), I hope my best wishes will reach the so far Hawaiian islands. (but when?) I wish you a very happy palmy birthday, hoping you're not too far from Palmtalk. I hope your eyes recovered well and that you'll show us how Mike is digging holes again, or how your garden grows... Kindest regards Philippe

http://www.rockandice.com/video-gallery/the-un-cut-video-of-alex-honnold-free-soloing-el-sendero-luminoso-5-12c-d It's in El Potrero Chico, Mexico. An impressive feat, but I thought I'd share because of the palms. At 2:30, some kind of silver fan palm can be seen in the background. 3:02 and 3:56, maybe some kind of Dyckia? 5:53, some trunking palms can be seen on the left.

Anyone find a way to kill off Tradescantia spathacea? They came with my yard and I was fine with them for a while. I ripped out a huge section of them by hand only to find tons of little seedling sprouting. They seem to laugh at roundup
