help me search for a photo
by palmtodd- 1 reply

hey, i'm new on the forum and wanted to ask for some help on how to search for a thread. The thread I'm looking for has photos/info about the recent palm sale by SFPS at Montgomery Botanical Center. It has a photo of a Coccothrinax Crinita wearing glasses that I wanted to show a friend... It'd be nice if I could just find all the past threads of the SFPS Palm sales at MBC. If theres anyone out there that can give me link of those threads that'd be awesome.

Search of posts in particular forum only?
by DoomsDave- 1 reply

I'm trying to locate the vendor of tri-bears in Florida, in Palms for Sale. I don't recall the vendor's name. When I search for tri-bears in general, I get hundreds of threads with general discussions. It appears I can't restrict the search to a particular forum. Before you could; is there still a way to do that, or has the feature been removed? The option to tweak the time of a post doesn't really help here; still way too many posts. It's not the time that's the issue, it's the forum. Thanks

Sago crown damaged
by succlife- 1 reply

I wanted my husband to clean up the seed pods on a female sago. I showed him the seeds and "fuzzy" parts to remove and went to the backyard to do weeding. He misunderstood and removed the crown (see photos). I'm assuming it will die?

Why do my comments have the word "delete" after them and no one else's comments do...Is this a not so subtle hint?

Hi there. I am working as a sole gardener for a while. I was seeking for a automated service in order to bill my clients. Recently I found one, tailored to suit my needs. It is called saldoinvoice. I'd like to ask if anyone uses it or maybe there are some other alternatives. Thx in advance.

Convenient Forum Features

How do you view the forum? Do you log in, click on "Discussing Palm Trees Worldwide," and peruse the topics one at a time, trying to remember what interested you, or whether you entered a comment that should have elicited a response? Then when you are done, you may or may not click on another forum, and do the same thing? More often than not, do you just log out, leaving many of the other forums unread? Apparently this is what many members do, because the other forums are visited far less often. And that is something many of you have found lacking. It has been coming to my attention that some of the Forum's most convenient features go unused. Features that are designed t…

Hello: We live in Southwest Florida and have African Tulip trees. We had some limbs that needed to be trimmed but the tree guy topped off all the African tulip trees leaving bare trunks. Is it best just to remove the trees now? Will they ever bloom again? Will the offshoots survive strong winds?

Hi, I am hoping to get some help diagnosing some issues with our Windmill Palm (Trachycarpus Fortunei). We have had it one year, size 45 gallons and we live in Austin, Tx. It gets direct sun until late evening. I understand now that these do better with some shade, but too late now. I fertilized it for the first time recently with a 12-4-12, being careful not to over apply. Issues are (1) brown tips and (2) brown areas on some of the leaves at the bottom of the leaflets where they attach to the stem. Pics are attached. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!! Russ
