This summer we built a tiki bar, set up a gazebo, made 10 trips for flat rocks to put around our flower beds, planted 4 Washingtonia Palms we transplanted from Florida, 4 Banana Trees, and a few other tropical type plants.
Last summer we planted a few different types of Palms, Yuccas, and a few other things. We also made 2 water fountains by cutting, shaping and forming a frame, then used concrete, canvas tarps ripped into random pieces forming it until we liked it.
A lot of work but it will look awesome next summer! ☀️
This gallery is of a cold hardy palm collection based off of a University of Florida document titled "Palm of North Florida" as well as some additions from IPS and palmtalk members.
It will be updated every time a new palm is collected or lost. Each existing palm will be updated at the end of every growing season.
I think it’s finally time to start uploading some photos of the garden, it’s very much in process and was started 4 years ago from nothing so still a very young garden and after looking at others and taking ideas I look forward to tips and advice and maybe meeting local people with similar interest and others from all over the world.
