   Non mobile version on a phone?

   I browse a lot from my phone but I don't like mobile versions of sites too much. Yet I don't see a Desktop Version button anywhere. I've tried clicking Request Desktop Site but nothing happens. Funny thing the url to this site appears to be a desktop site- http://www.palmtalk.org/forum/ How do I get the full site? I'm using Chrome browser on a Samsung s5

   Can't upload pictures

   Hello, I joined recently and I was trying to ask a question with pictures I took. The picture's sizes are under 8mb but an error message keeps popping up whenever I try to upload the picture. And in the uploaded Images section under the typing area, there is a white image with upload failed Any solutions??

    I wish to find old posts of RLR, since he was mentioned by _Keith in one of his recent posts, but I did dot know even whom those letters refer to. Fortunately I was able to see in the memorials the name of Bob Riffle, which helped me further to remember his full official name in literature (Robert Lee Riffle). So I had from then on a starting point but I do not know the user name under which he was participating in the forum in order to visit his profile and search for the content... So I was thinking that it might be helpful for newcomers in PT that user names are also published near the real names of deceased famous people in the palm world. What a better way to honor …

    There was a recent old post titled "What is the tallest known XButyagrus? " started by member merrillwx.. Dr. Merril Wilcox was a fine man and a strong palm advocate. Unfortunately he passed on some rime ago. Hopefully he went on to a better place with all the palms he could ever want. Is it possible to have one of those candles and "in Memorium" flags added to his old posts like Dick Douglas (PalmGuyWC) has on his old posts? Thank you for your consideration.

    Dean, I posted a item and noticed that there were some spelling errors. I immediately went back into the post and edited it, noted the error type and the edit box checked. Message returned to me that too much time had passed to edit and the post would not update . I then unchecked the box, entered, and the post updated with the spelling corrected. Minor issue to me, but with a more comprehensive edit a note that it was edited would be nice. Many thanks for all of your work. JC

    Viewing problems on mobile

    Is anyone else having problems viewing the forum on mobile? I'm on an iPhone iOS 9. The website displays is a long column all across the left half of my screen with blank white space on the right half. There is one advertisement banner that goes all the way across the full width of the screen which I'm assuming is the problem because that's setting the width of what I'm viewing.

    Dean, As I know you are not a big fan of MS products but many people use them. You may be getting a few notices on features not working using MS Edge, the replacement for IE. For example, the emoticons do not seem to be working when replying to a post......this is not a deal killer but for info only. FYI JC

    Hi to all I've a load of great pics to share but when I upload them here they are all over the place, upside down and horizontal. They all look right-way-up on my computer. Previously I've taken the pics onto Corel draw and made new files but it is laborious and I don't have to time to muck around. Would love to share but it's too much of a hassle with pics all over the place when they upload. Using a great camera - Cannon 6D with some awesome lenses.... so what's the deal?     The problem with forums is that they're full of buried treasure. Unless a thread is stickied, no matter how much useful information it contains... it will eventually be pushed off the first page. And then it will be pushed off the second page... and then the third page and so on. A google search can easily help people find buried treasure... but, it can just as easily help people find buried trash! And the internet has a lot more trash than treasure. What's needed is some group rating effort to highlight the quality content. Here are some possibilities... 1.
