   @PALM MOD, If my heading was not too cryptic, What is the difference? Are the responses recorded by Microsoft, google or anyone else for any reason? I know that 'Likes" are used by google to categorize people in some of their web pages. I'm just trying to understand this system. I'm just thinking if there is no difference then why would you add it.

   Fresh Bismarkia Seeds. What now to prepare them?

   I cut these Bismarkia seeds last Sunday near my home in South Florida. They have fallen off the stalk since then. What do I do with them now? Peel them, soak them, dry them? Are they ripe enough to be viable? I see articles on germination but not on what's best for preparing the seed prior to starting that process. I'd be thrilled if just one popped...     photo upload failure

    I have uploaded many images, but today I had a failure. The photo is a JPG file sized 5.07 mb. The error message was "There was a problem processing the uploaded file.-200." I tried to upload from both my profile and my wife's profile of our shared desktop PC. I also tried both Chrome and Microsoft Edge. No upload! Any suggestions, please ?

    Suggestion on images

    I suggest removing images from quotes. When you reply to someone the images really aren’t needed and just provide redundant content. The problem is they can significantly lengthen the page and slow down the load time. Instead of removing images outright, another good option would be giving them some sort of text placeholder. That should be sufficient to avoid any confusion and improve the user’s experience.

    Another forum member, Kinzyjr (Jeremy) and I were discussing our favorite palm-related topic, coconuts of course and it came up just how much interest there is in Cocos nucifera on Palmtalk. In-fact, there is a disproportionately high level of interest on the forums in Cocos nucifera, versus any other palm species or even genus of palms. I noticed for example, that on the first page of the main forum right now that 4 of 24, or 1/6 of the threads are coconut specific.     I'm trying to access Kyle Brown's pieces on Sabal palmetto that appeared in 1976. However, when I search I get a header with that year and no content (see attached example). I'm using a MacBook Pro running Safari, but have also tried Google Chrome. I don't know what issue/issues his work appeared in, other that 1976. I may be searching incorrectly, or there may be a software problem. Any insights are appreciated. Also, is the journal searchable? If so, how?

    After only uploading 3 pics in a reply (Peter's "White Triangle" thread) it wouldn't allow me to upload any more pics saying I'm only allowed 8.11 MB. Even when I tried to upload additional pics into another reply box it still won't let me. So you're only allowed 8.11MB total for an entire thread?

    Admins: trying to help a gal get a account here as she said she's tried several times but doesn't get the confirmation email. She posted on Facebook for help. Sara Davis shared a link. 19 mins Anyone here on palmtalk.org? I’ve tried numerous times to sign up on there and never able to get the confirmation link email.     Problem with forum software

    I use android 8.1.0 with a chrome version 68.0.3440.70 to access palmtalk. When I try to answer on a topic or if I create a new topic the forum software always already shows my last answer in the text field. It also does not allow me to delete old quotations in those entries. I'm not able to just have a blank text field to start my post. I have tried everything. I have deleted my browser cache, my cookies and because everything did not work even the saved password settings for palmtalk. Maybe the data is saved somewhere on your server connected with my session ID? Maybe you could look into this because posting is now a very tedious task. It also makes me wonder about the …
