Anyone is allowed to list sought after items (start topics) in this forum. Inquiries will be removed 60 days after the original posting unless otherwise requested.

Please remember that only IPS Members can offer palms and plants for sale. And please do not suggest a vendor unless you are certain they are an IPS Member.

The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms. When discussing new acquisitions, deals, or availability of palms/plants, please refrain from mentioning the names of Big Box stores, nurseries, or other outlets that are not IPS Members. Third parties will be permitted to mention the source, price, or availability of plants, seeds, or garden related products in the course of normal Forum discussions if directly acquired from or offered by IPS Members only. Promotional intent or language by third parties should be avoided.

    Washingtonia Robusta and other cold hardy palms

    I live in the Tampa Bay area and looking for Washingtonia Robusta palms for my back yard. Can’t seem to find a nursery/farm/seller that has them. Anyone in central Florida know of a place that sells and delivers them? Don’t need anything big — maybe 6-8 feet tall. Unfortunately the frost this winter took all my foxtails and Christmas palms, so want to replace them with something that’s more cold hardy. Other suggestions welcome, too. Thanks in advance!

    First of all, I want to preface this thread by saying that I don't know 100% that these people are scammers, but my suspicions have been raised enough to make me post... I started a thread last week asking for Cycas revoluta x debaoensis seeds. A Palmtalk user who has no post history sent me a message saying they had received these seeds from @MattyB and gave me an email address to contact him on. I sent an email and had some slightly strange interactions with someone called Pete who, at first, wasn't forthcoming with information about where they had sourced the seed from.     i recently got a windmill palm a couple weeks ago from Brighter Blooms which is doing well, but recently I have been trying to look for any kind of sabal palm that I can get my hands on. I would either like to get a 5 gal Sabal Birmingham or Sabal Minor. either would work for me. (or just a standard Sabal Palmetto) any recommendations to find any species of Sabal palms online? thank you in advance!
