My friend John Goss is there selling Heliconias this weekend, check out what he has on offer...including nice 'Richmond Red' and 'Hot Rio Nites,' lots of others including the cold-hardy hybrid 'Bali,' with inflorescences that look like exploding fireworks (at least to me). Those three are some of the more cold-hardy types and probably very good choices for Central Florida. Plus some other really unusual species/cultivars.
