Encephalartos longifolius blunt tip fishtail blue

Encephalartos longifolius blunt tip fishtail blue is a very rare leaf form of longifolius. Out of over 200 mature plants grown approximatly 79% were normal leaf form 20% were blunt tip and 1% were fishtailed blunt tip!

Two male and one female came from a single seed batch of over 200 individuals. The female cone was succesfully hand pollenated. This is probably the first time this leaf form has ever been produced by people!

The pics are of the mother plant. She looks alittle ragged right now. The leaves are old and she just finished kicking out cones. Fresh leaves are quite blue!

Some leaf pics!

Randy, seems the mother plant is not blunt tip? They look pointed.

Any leads on a true green blunt?
