I wrote down the names of the palms but for each picture but they ended up not matching the photo numbers on the camera.  I think poor planning on my part.  I'm still very much a rookie here in the plam world and not good enough to accuratley identify palms by sight yet but I'll list a few that I posted here, but they may not be in exact order.

Roystonia

Dypsis

Adonidia

Hyophorbe

Ptychosperma

That's about all I can list off hand.

Logolight,

I hope you don't mind with a little help.

 Your pictures are the following:

 1  Cocos nucifera

 2   Roystonea  species

3  Grouping of large Roystonea species

 4  Syagrus  species

 5  Kentiopsis  oliviformis

6  In the background, are two large Attalaya species with a Psuedophoenix sp.( maybe sargentii) in the front right side.

 7 A stand of Veitchias.

 8  Dypsis  decaryi

9  A very old Roystonea species

Searle Brothers Nursery Inc.

and The Rainforest Collection.

Southwest Ranches,Fl.

The garden is recovering nicely.  In another 6 months, the foliage damage caused by Wilma will be erased.  The canopy will take another couple of years.  Great photos.

Are you sure that #5 with the black crownshaft is not a Satakentia liukiuensis?

Palm freaks are good peeps!!!!!

Dave,

I am totally positive. I have many of these in the ground. A Satakentia would be a little fatter in the crown and a purplish crownshaft.

Here are some Satakentia for reference.
