trouble posting pictures

Recommended Posts

I posted a bunch of pictures a few weeks ago without any trouble, and now I am using the exact same technique (browsing my files and attaching them) and it doesn't work...I can't figure it out.  I resized them all to the correct size and everything...I don't get it.

So I uploaded a picture onto "Photobucket" and copied the address, and put it in my post....and....the address shows up in my post and not the picture, so people have to click on the address to see the pic...

What am I doing wrong?

Can you tell me the thread in question?

Yes, I posted a picture under the 'tropical plants other than palms' category.  A picture of Carludovica palmata...

I used the link to photobucket.

I was going to post some other pictures from my files using the browse option, but nothing happened.

I even tried to post the same pictures I posted a few weeks back using the browse option, and nothing...something must have changed because it worked before.

Will- I think you used the wrong link? You need the [img one... (look on your page)  AND I took off everything past jpg and put the [/img at the end...

Did you read the posting photos link?

"Browse" is only used if you have the pic on your computer, and you wish to attach it to your post.

If you are hosting, as with Photo Bucket, you need to copy and paste the IMG tag into your post.

Just a test . . . I am having trouble posting photos in portrait orientation, they automatically change to landscape even if saved in portrait. OK - it worked. Photo removed to save space on the site.

Will, I´ve had the exact same problem. I posted some pictures a couple of months ago with no problem...and now I can´t upload one. Just like you, I used the same techniques, correct size, I even deleted my ¨global space usage¨ and I still cannot upload.

As long as it appears as if no one else is having an issue, it is most likely the problem is on your end.

The landscape/portrait problem is definitely a problem with you photo management software.

Thanks to those of you who help make this a fun and friendly forum.
