@Alicehunter2000 Thanks for bumping this post. Great info for us in Florida. Just wanted to report that Beschorneria the "Red Bells Agave" is doing great here in South Florida.

In FL try Agave ovatifolia. Takes rainy season on without blinking and looks pristine & fantastic year round. I've had mine in the ground 3-4 years and it is 2' tall x 4' wide. They can get up to 4' x 6'. It is not the easiest to find as it does not offset.

One of the tallest A. americanas I've seen in my area flowering near my neighborhood.
