My Syagrus weddelliana is full of white dirt that looks like mold.It seems to be killing the inflorescences. Do you know what kind of pest is it and how to get rid of it?

Thanks, Pal. I thought it could be mealybugs, but it looks more like dust than like an insect. I cleaned the whole plant, but it will probably return. If it does, I'll take some pics...
