Mule Palm spots

4 posts in this topic

Trying to figure out what these spots are on my F1 mule palm in a pot.  It had these last year.  Spraying with copper fungicide but doesn't seem to do anything.

I have two Mules and one had this on older fronds after a spell of damp cold. Is it on just the single leaf or frond? If so, I wouldn’t worry about it. Mine grew out of that funk and pushed on. Where do you live? Get her in the ground and enjoy!

No this is all over the palm with the exception of maybe the newest spear.  Most spots are about the size of a ladybug or a little smaller.  I am in TN 7A so mule palm in the ground is probably unworkable.

Agree - I don't think mules would last very long outside of zone 8b unless it had mostly Butia genes.  I've got 2 of them in the ground here.
