yeah just do it in the spring let it heal or cauterize it so the trunnk dont rot  and let the pup  form a callus tehn plant in sand ----just gotta do the surgery real prices ----hack saw or sharp knife so you get a clean non trunk damaging surgery

Need a pic from another vantage point to see how big the plant is. You'll most likely make a big mess of things only to maintain a split trunk anyway.

yeah good point mine split into 5 heads and I gotta think about removing 1 or two ----------so it will get some height ----------otheres in the yard are only 5 feet on down of trunk

Thanks! The trunk is about 5' tall. I really want to keep it as a single, but I do not want to mess up the trunk.
