Pinanga sp. Thai Mottled

So I found my Pinanga sp. 'Thai Mottled'. I hadn't really lost it, the tag just got buried and I just found it. As you can see it looks pretty sad. This is actually the third offset the original palm made, this is the only one to survive. I am not sure what I have done wrong. It seems to be a very sensitive plant. And as you can see, its no longer mottled. Any advice?

I have mine in part shade and gets water all the time. Other than that I don't do much but throw some fertilizer every once and a while

I guess maybe I didn't water enough in the past. I will try to make up for it now LOL

I have two of these. One in a bright location that gets about 3-4 hours of afternoon sum the other is in mostly shade.  Whatever sun it gets is filtered. The plant in shade retains its mottling a lot more.

In shade..

I have not tried mine in the ground yet but so far I've noticed the only think that gets it looking sad is letting its soil dry out. I bet if you try a good controlled-release fertilizer and daily watering, it'll come back to life! Mine is located in a bright spot on my lanai. I will try to remember to get a recent pic.

Naples (inland), FL - technically 10a but more like 9b in the winter :hmm:
