I bought this as a seedling 6 years ago in san Francisco ,,it lives indoors in a cool greenhouse for the winter and then outdoors here in Connecticut for the summer

Here's my own T. princeps from today. It grows in the partial shade of a Feijoa sellowiana (a useful semi-evergreen tree for shade and fruit). To the R is a Ravenea glauca, and to the L is a Rhapidophyllum hystrix. Background blooms are on 4 different varieties of Tecoma.
