A Tale of Two tanga's

Such beautiful palms that I was lucky enough to find and plant in the garden. A heck of a lot faster and more attractive than C. naboutinense, which is the only other Cyphosperma I'm growing. One has always been much larger than the other, but both are healthy and are planted about six feel apart. The leaves are spectacular and keep getting larger and larger. 

Acquired as 1 gal. back at the beginning of 2013, they have always been good growers and fairly easy to cultivate. It's actually starting to flower, so we'll see how that goes. 

There is a shovel in there somewhere for scale.

Jason, oh yeah, more like 'have already run out of room'. Still finding  places for small stuff though and of course, always things to remove.

Bill, I remember seeing a photo you posted of your C. tanga, too bad it succumbed. Maybe grown to a larger size it might have a better chance like say

a C. balansae or C. tricospadix.

Mahalo Kim!. Had a bout with the black mold last year....yuck! Finally pulling out of that episode with lots of spraying and pruning.
