I bought some seeds from rps but they didn't germinate.

Who got success with them? Is it really cold hardier than normal vaombe?

;)Salut

Gilles06: I also ordered Aloe vaombe ('High Plateau') from Rare Palm Seeds (http://rarepalmseeds.com/pix/AloPla.shtml) earlier this year. I filled a small pot with seedling mix, sprinkled the Aloe seeds over the surface, added a thin layer of damp sphagnum moss on top of them, put the pot in a plastic bag and placed this on a heating pad. For a few weeks I didn't see any results, then they started germinating quickly. I've kept them in the original pot (see below), acclimated them to outdoors and plan to pot them out individually in the fall. It's too soon for me to know if they're more cold hardy where I live than lowland A. vaombe, but I have enough seedlings now to test them this coming winter. ;)
