Princeps hybrid new leaves yellow

Bought one of these one leaf was turning yellow,maybe pot was too small,so I repotted it and seems to be going more yellow even though the soil and pot got good drainage,is this normal?is it because I washed old soil from root's before repotting?

Here it is,it's got 20cm trunk,it gets sun all day since big heatwave and watered when needed,soil is multipurpose with John innes and sharp sand,advice please,
