Hello.

I've recently ordered Butia Capitata (Pindo Palm) seeds online, and what I received clearly weren't Butia Capitata seeds. I already got a refund from the seller, but now I'm wondering what palm are these from. If someone could help me identify it, maybe I could find a use for it.

Why not Butia? Doesn't Butia have 3 eyes at the end of the seed like Syagrus? Take a look, I can't tell from Photo.

Clean the seed and post a clear picture of it please.

Anyways, I would say that it isn't Butia - it has much smaller "inner seed", it is mostly flat with one prominence representing the embryo. The shell has also septums.

The second option - from my experience Jubaea seeds are a bit bigger with strong resemblance to coconut, this shape is a bit different.

If it has three "eyes" I would guess some kind of Syagrus or something else from Cocoseae family but the photo is not very detailed.
