Hi,

unfortuately my several different types of windmills from Bulgaria are small seedlings but they survived -14°C / 7F this winter (short term).

I'm also hoping they are more hardy.

You can't force a palm to flower. They do so when they are mature. How long that takes for a Trachy I don't know but years certainly. Some palm species take decades to mature.

You can't tell gender of dioecious (2 sexes) palms until they flower. Same with monoecious/hermaphroditic palms. Unless there is a way to get DNA analysis done which I don't think has ever been tried as a means of sexing palms.

Mine were about 5’ in pots.  I planted them 2 years ago and they are flowering this year.  I have 2 and I can’t figure out Male female or any differences.

T. Fortunei need about 40-48" of trunk to flower for the first time.  Female flowers are green while males turn yellow.

I agree, they often flower when they have around 1m of trunk. Some earlier, some later.
