Yes, the biggest complaint is that Toby never responds to email.  Also, there is apparently no limit to seed shelf  life.  Now I try only to order seeds listed as "new".

Once I ordered older seeds of Chamaedorea nubium and I did obtain satisfactory germination of this seed lot.

I ordered Areca triandra. Under 'new'. They came all germinated and dried out completely at some point in the past, so.. I sent them some pics and been refunded for them.. 

Let's see if other seeds germinate.. 

And they started replying now :) usually next day.

I did not receive refunds from RPS in the past, they simply ignored my emails. I changed my tactic ever since by only purchasing seeds that are marked as fresh. This time two groups of seeds (marked as fresh!) all hopelessly rattle and float (after a day in water) even that I purchase only fresh seeds (as marked on their site) and I asked RPS to mail me fresh seeds or issue a refund. Will keep updated on what happens.

Average day temperatures: +17°C in the winter and +24°C in the summer. Typical Summer: 68F to 77F (20C to 25C). Typical Winter: 55F to 64F (12C to 18C). Record Low (past 5 years): 45F or +7.7C (once a winter, some winters). Record High (past 5 years): 83F or +28C (some days only). Elevation 140 m (459 ft.) to 160 m (525 ft.), latitude 38.54º. Sunset Zone: unknown
