To Protect If I Get A WindMill

Nj Palms

Recommended Posts

Hey all I am just wondering if I should cover a windmill during the winter.athe low this year was -3 Fahrenheit. Also should I cover my Sabal Minor I will not be able to provide any heat in the coverings so I can only use burlap or another substance.

I'd build a small structure over them for the first few years, at least till they get established.

I'm from around Philly, so Yes, yes, yes! Make a cage around and wrap with old style Christmas lights and a plastic wrap with a thermocube also. Spray with fungicide too. See islandpalmtrees website, their from NJ too. Good luck. Mine is 7 yrs now.
