Butia x Jubaea F2 seedlings

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

today I started to divide my community pots and while doing this on my Butia x Jubaea seedlings (thanks to TCHP - Joseph) I found 16 seedlings but 5 twins.

Hope they will grow fast. Will be interesting to see if the twins grow in same size and shape or if they become different.

Probably too late but I would suggest letting the seedling exhaust all of the seed energy before splitting off.

Hello Joseph,

not to late, I didn't separate them. I'll let them grow as twins.

Today I separated the second batch. 18 seedlings out of nine seeds, got two triplets. Not bad I think.

18 out of 9? That is a really good performance: 200% output! :greenthumb::D
