Dooms Dave Seedpack Germination Special

Xerarch

Recommended Posts

So I’ve got a handful of baggies on a heat pad here for germination thanks to Dooms Dave’s worldwide palm seed distribution program. Chamaedorea radicalis, Franken brahea, Archontophoenix maxima, Ptychosperma elegans. I also threw in a bag with a few P dacty ‘medjool’ as kindof a canary in the coal mine, if those don’t germinate I know I really managed to botch it somehow.

I still have D. laneolata and Cocothrinax dussiana to germinate here sometime. As it is, being that I live in Ohio I'm going to have a significant problem when these things germinate as it is. The wife is already imagining/dreading the house getting overrun in the winter with pots everywhere. I’ll do my best to restrict them to the sun room except on nights where it’s so cold I won’t be able to keep it above freezing.

What I’m doing is just getting a head start here before I can move to a more suitable climate, she’ll thank me one day I promise.

I hear he is running a real seedy operation.  I need to swing by for a "Tour de Palmas" and a free seed pack.

@Xerarch, so good to hear!

Could be worse

Could be my place!

Those seeds will mostly take a long while to sprout and a much longer while to amount to much size wise.

Keep is apprised of your babies’ progress!

Oh boy, are the seeds doomed? Is my whole house now doomed? Perhaps I should have thought this through a little more.
