It's already started.  We've had our first named storm.  Sure hope this isn't an indication of a bad season, but I'm not optimistic :(

We'll see shortly but I'm hoping there's more bark than bite to their predictions.

I whined all last year because large patches of rain in June and July would split apart before reaching my neighborhood time and time again. I'd appreciate an influx of rain from some tropical waves to offset last year's pathetic show. Bring on the rain!

You think so?  Gosh I hope!

Supposedly, the jury's still out on whether a La Nina will develop this summer - but doesn't it seem as if we're in that pattern already?  Last one involved a severe drought - and check out the drought monitors, this situation is not good.

Certainly let's hope for a tropical depression, but hurricanes? no thanks.

just plain hate them.

Btw, for those in FL.....

DOR has a Sales Tax Holiday on storm-preparedness related purchases.  It runs from the 1st of June till, I believe, the 12th.  So that'd be the time to buy.

A low pressure system to develop next weekend near Cuba could be the first purely tropical system of the year.  Right on cue as if waiting backstage to make a grand entrance.

Just looked at the track map for TS Barry.  If it doesn't strenthen too much, it could be just what the doctor ordered for N-FL, S-GA's drought conditions.
