strange 4 headed queen palm

last spring break i was in pine island florida and i saw this palm with 4 heads,  i was in the car so i couldnt take a picture but i found the streetview of it.

It appears that the queen palm is behind whatever that 4-headed monstrosity is. I see a palm trunk behind it in the shadow.

Naples (inland), FL - technically 10a but more like 9b in the winter :hmm:

Very cool specimen!

It is a Queen Palm, the trunk behind it are tall Washingtonias.

I've seen that and several others in the area.  Probably damaged at some point at the growing point caused this.

 Did it happen to be in the city of El Monte?

I have been driving by this palm for over 10 years, it sits next to a restaurant that never seems to be open. I have never pulled in for a closer look, but I can snap pics next time I am around. I didn't even see the picture but I know which one you are referring to! :)
