I haven’t been out to Pahoa for a while (been stuck in Vista trying to sell my place), but I was relieved to see the garden here is in about the same shape as June.  My timing was good in that I got this nice surprise this morning:

Sorry, too much speed of growth when the last leaf hasn't even turned green before you are having the next red leaf open!!! hahah

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

At first I thought it was the same plant, but it's actually the plant immediately adjacent.
