I'm sure there are other photos, but thought I might share some of the highlights for me from Mr. Fletcher's garden.  Thank you to the PSSC for organizing the visit and Leland Fletcher for opening his garden.

A few from the backyard, where Leland used a slope to create a wonderful garden with winding concrete paths up to an overlook onto Mission Bay.

Was hoping to go, but was on call and my work had other plans for me... :(

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

If you peed, you were engaged

Bless you Mr. Fletcher!

And Matty B for bidding on palms for his shade garden!

If it hadn't been for the palms in the way, I might have swooned all the way down Leland's hill!

Is that first palm an odd suckering serenoa repens?

Looks like most silver sereona's. Mine sucker like that as well.

I've seen hundreds of thousands of serenoa and never any that make a sucker clump like that. I have about 30 old ones in the ground and they trunk and then have a sucker or two.

Interesting.

Found some old pics. Like I said I have only seen this on the silver form.

Those are suckering machines for sure...  They look like full sun for the most part too?   I'll snap a few pics of my silver row.

My silver Serenoa suckers far more than the greens, now that you mention it. Not quite as dense as those pictured.

The palm in post 2, pic #3 is a Trithrinax, is it not? Nice silver theme.

Look like campestris to me since I see the right one dichotimized. Nothing comfirms easier than grabbing a frond though as they certainly are unique.
