Hi,

Found these videos on palm treatment against Red Weevil :

.

Thanks Kris.

With this videos you can see two systems. Endotherapy and fungal treatment.

Two good systems to prevent RPW infestations, but not enough when the RPW is in the palmtree.

November and December were too cold and the palm is recovering slowly.

I have this photo done two weeks ago.

Hello Kris!

This gentleman is a the engineer of Viveros Mogán, one the biggest nurseries in Canary islands.

He is explaining the problem with the Diocalandra. The Diocalandra is a smaller cousin of RPW and it is Canary islands.

It is smaller than RPW and kills the CIDP slower than RPW, but is as dangerous than RPW because if it doesn't kill fast, it does lots of small holes in the palm and these holes are the door for fungal disseases, like Thielaviopsis.

He says the treatments are the same than RPW, Imidacloprid, but with this bug he says is better to water with the imidacloprid and wait the palm drinks the pesticide with the roots.

Thanks for the video Kris.
